What does coaching look like?
A student is paired with a Coach who is a University of Florida staff or faculty who is committed to a student’s success. Success Coaches recognize students as the expert in their life and partner with students to maximize their personal, professional, and academic success. The coach assists students in resolving issues and establishing action plans to achieve their academic and career goals by connecting students to university resources, addressing barriers, and developing support networks that create a positive university experience.
You will meet and discuss goals, barriers, resources, and plans. Follow up can occur via meetings, emails, phone calls or texts. The student and coach will touch base every couple of weeks to ensure that goals are being achieved and that success skills are being developed while also addressing other issues that may arise.
