Academic Operations Technology Workgroup

The Academic Operations Technology workgroup is designed to organize the development of technology that supports the operation and recordkeeping of faculty and staff engaged in student success interactions. The workgroup will regularly solicit feedback and report progress to the Student Success Collaborative and the Advisory Council for Undergraduate Affairs.

Goals

  • Provide a forum to share technology uses in the spaces of academic advising, academic support (e.g.
    tutoring), coaching, and similar areas.
  • Norm terminology and usage, where appropriate, while allowing units the autonomy to customize toward
    their business operation.
  • Prioritize technology development requests to UFIT for more effective advocation of needs.
  • Document tools development for new user training.

Membership and Format

  • Representative workgroup, members are expected to socialize workgroup ideas with their unit leadership
    and users
  • Membership selected by units, as they deem participation necessary
  • In-person meetings preferred
