Angeleah Browdy, Ph.D.
Program Director of the Office of Academic Support
I completed my Ph.D. in Biological Sciences with a focus on Food Biochemistry at the University of Rhode Island. Before attaining my doctoral degree, I earned a Master’s from Florida State and a Bachelor’s from the University of Delaware, both in Food Science and Human Nutrition. My journey in food science has been fulfilling, encompassing roles as a researcher and lecturer.
During my tenure as a faculty member in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at UF, I had the privilege of teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. Additionally, I served as a faculty advisor in various capacities. Since 2010, I have been Director of the Office of Academic Support, combining my roles as an educator and administrator.
I enjoy creating and delivering programs and services that empower students to fulfill their undergraduate aspirations. Witnessing our students excel in their academic and professional pursuits is incredibly rewarding. My objective is to meet students where they are at the beginning of their UF journey, guide them through challenges, and help them overcome barriers. I strive to ensure they feel supported, encouraged, and championed to fulfill their purpose or mission.
"Striving for success without hard work is like trying to harvest where you haven’t planted." - David Bly
